  • Holy Shit!

    ...Quite literally.

I'm a bit late in reporting this but 2 days ago the water main to our corporate building burst, creating a dangerous ice slick on the road and of course cutting off water. Probably not just to our building but I don't know about that. Anyway, a huge building of office workers + non-functioning toilets = PROBLEM!

The first day, people were getting extra long breaks to go wherever they could go. The second day they had porta-potties. In -20 degree weather. That night an e-mail was sent that all At-Home-Agents should STAY HOME and pro-active time off would be offered for office agents. That was yesterday.

Today the city did get it partially fixed, but not until midday. And the water isn't safe to drink, just flush with. Good times!

    What a crappy situation.

I would say that's a situation corporate should Attend to soon. Your dignity and health may Depend on it. They should a Tena solution shortly and not pad it out.

Are you kidding me? More two days without a reasonable solution and still expecting people to work throughout? I wonder how many workers called the health department before management decided people could have time off.

I think they were giving people extra long breaks the first day so they could actually drive places or walk to find a toilet. The second day, porta-potties. Bottled water they got immediately.

I strongly suspect the city was like, 'oh, we'll get this fixed anytime now!' because the second e-mail said that the city had told them there was additional damage and it would take longer. :P I don't really blame management here lol

^That. Also I am laughing way too hard at the responses.
