Hunting Widows' Weekend

It felt almost like Black Friday, but with less-cranky customers. I'm happy with how I handled it all, but it took 3 of us just to run the customer service desk. We usually have one person. The supervisor was hearing his name every 30 seconds, literally. I was one of the people calling it, and I felt bad about it. But some things I have to have him do. Got a nice complement from the store manager, though; she appreciated my help to a coworker, even though I'd been told to help her. But I'll take a complement. Anyone else this busy yet?

I don't work retail, but I can tell you this...even Krogers is getting a bit..crazy. Our local Krogers is a very nice place to shop. You avoid the crazies, lines are hardly ever crowded, and the employees are very very helpful and nice.

Unfortunately, that is not always the case. Remind me to post my encounter at Krogers sometime. It happened today. Again when I was going out to get medicine (seems to be a theme ... *sighs*) but not at the pharmacy area.

God, no. We're the opposite. Advertising always slows down around the holidays, but usually not this soon. I'd rather be busy, at least at a steady pace.

And of course, the fewer calls, the higher the number of nutcases and goofballs.

Things at the swamp are starting to pick up as far as traffic goes, but sales still aren't keeping up.

Friday was crazy busy, yet we only beat salesplan by $400. Saturday it didn't seem as busy, but it was picking up as I left.

Next weekend is when all the hunting widows will really start coming out. But I have the entire weekend off.
