To answer the initial question... probably the same Powers That Be that turned off the heat in Maryland, too!

Tell you what... let's all blame the Norse weather god Thor, and boycott his movie when it opens in May!

It's my theory that all of us Northerners who moved down here brought the snow and ice with us. I'm loving the cold weather and snow in NC.

Everyone else can boycott Thor. I'm going to go see it!

        So it's YOUR fault!

Well mine and all the other Northerners who flocked down here because y'all are so much nicer. (When I first moved down, my thought was "Nice, needs more snow")

Saw a North Carolina license plate today... thought: "Came here to get warm, huh?"

We wish we'd get more snow here (tho it's been damn cold) if we don't then it's forest fire hell in the summer & I'm 40 yards from the treeline in an area that hasn't burned for at least 50 years.

After 10 days of bloody cold temperatures (highest was -20C) and constant snow, we finally have relatively clear skies and relatively reasonable temperatures. Now to show the aftereffect, but first, Look at the picture in this thread:

                http://www.customerssuck.com/board/s...ad.php?t=27376

See that blue bucket by the cedar tree? In that picture we had 6 inches of show. Now here's the aftermath of what we just got through:

Yes, that bucket is still there, just buried under god knows how much snow.

Oh and that mound in the lower left? That is eye level to me and I'm 5'11".

Here's another picture, of our garage this time:

That's about 2 feet of snow on the roof (and yes, I have checked those wires, they are not being dragged down)

End estimate: high points are over 5 feet tall, low points are over 2 feet tall. Thank god we have a snowblower...

Note to self, stay far away from where ever lordlundar is.

we have had brushes with snow up in the northwest, glad we haven't had another storm like we had in November (do not want to stay with in laws again). Now we just have grey wet and coldish.

                    And flooding

Though I get the feeling it is going to snow near my birthday (april) this year. I hope I am wrong.
