Today we had some team-building bullcrap that was being run by a marketing company, although unlike most of the corporate buzzword-spewing programs, we do at least achieve stuff at these sessions that gets used afterwards.
Ahead of today, we had to prepare a shout-out for someone in the office and how they demonstrated one of our values. I wound up overthinking it, realising it and then in the end chose to write about our mentors because they don't get enough recognition in the office (and I'm slowly fighting for them to get respect).
Well, I was very surprised to get a couple of shout-outs back. One was from one of my colleagues in the support team. The other however, was from the Faculty Dean of all people .
