  • Inconsistent evaluations done by front-end supervisors and managers

The front-end supervisors and managers at the location I work at as a cashier are not on the same page regarding the constant evaluations being done at work.

There are supervisors and managers who are happy with the job you are doing, but then there are supervisors who are not happy with the job you are doing.

One supervisor wants a courtesy clerk who is a burn victim to be more engaging with the customers.

The cashiers and courtesy clerks are supposed to be putting specific labels on the big items that are not bagged, yet those labels are not available at each register.

This makes it difficult to do your best job.

How should the front-end employees deal with this?

I'd ignore it, unless you're directly questioned about it. If *everyone* is getting dinged like that you'll have to trust upper management to realize the problem isn't on your end.

      Update

      Recently these evaluations just stopped.

But, no positive changes came from this that I see.

      What gives?

Maybe it's to figure out who they can cut with the least likelihood of there being any blowback

Tama's theory makes the most sense.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!
