Well, that was unexpected.

Our outgoing CEO left me a handwritten thank you note on my desk while I was at lunch today. He did it for most of our department that I could see, so I figured it was a nice thing he did for everybody - he is very thoughtful.

Come to find out, from my boss, the CEO only did those notes for people with whom he felt he had a special connection and who had gone above and beyond in their service to the company in the 5 years he has been here.

I guess I made a good impression on someone.

That is so cool! I got a handwritten note in the mail congratulating me on my 12th anniversary with the company. I see it more like "Hey, you survived 12 years!"
