Default Retirement soon!!!

My annuity application was approved
After 33 years with this public works agency, I will be retiring, effective August 31. My exit interview is next Wednesday. As I've been working from home since mid-March, I'll likely turn in my key-card and clean my desk then.

My day job will soon be a memory.

And another one managed a narrow, but graceful, escape.

Congratulations. I did that 17 years ago, as of August 23. I've never regretted it.

Way to go, though, we will miss your SC stories.

Live it up, and enjoy life.

I haven't retired from tax preparation yet (the source of my SC stories), this is my day job.

My exit interview is done--quite anticlimactic. In it I learned that I will be getting the pay for some of my unused PTO sooner (like two months earlier) than expected.

I saved up enough sick time to cover a major illness and enough vacation time to go broke traveling
