I mentioned in the Cursing Out Coworkers about accidents that involved A and Y.
A doesn't like to talk about her accident. She had it when she was driving to Kentucky to her first install. I do know that she had to spend that night in the hospital. She had to miss 1½ weeks. Y took over the installs for the first week. The two installs she missed the following week were rescheduled and assigned to me.
I mentioned that Y was also in an accident a couple years ago. It was my third project. I was mostly assigned to the office. However, on a short week, I was assigned to the Virginia Panhandle with Y. The project manager want to see if I could still do onsite installs.
It was raining hard almost the entire day. When I arrived to the first, I noticed that I was the first to arrive, somehow. My GPS manage to guide me 18 miles in the wrong direction. Getting lost in a downpour may not be as bad as getting into an accident in a downpour, but it's still not fun.
When I finally arrived, I was told to call the PM. The PM told me that Y had gotten in an accident, but he was fine. He was just reassigned to the office. It turns out that he was involved in a small pileup. He stayed in his car until it was safe. It turn out to be a good decision. He witness another guy get out of his car. He was hit by another car almost immediately. Unfortunately, he did not survive. Y however, was not injured.
