I mentioned in the Cursing Out Coworkers about accidents that involved A and Y.

A doesn't like to talk about her accident. She had it when she was driving to Kentucky to her first install. I do know that she had to spend that night in the hospital. She had to miss 1½ weeks. Y took over the installs for the first week. The two installs she missed the following week were rescheduled and assigned to me.

I mentioned that Y was also in an accident a couple years ago. It was my third project. I was mostly assigned to the office. However, on a short week, I was assigned to the Virginia Panhandle with Y. The project manager want to see if I could still do onsite installs.

It was raining hard almost the entire day. When I arrived to the first, I noticed that I was the first to arrive, somehow. My GPS manage to guide me 18 miles in the wrong direction. Getting lost in a downpour may not be as bad as getting into an accident in a downpour, but it's still not fun.

When I finally arrived, I was told to call the PM. The PM told me that Y had gotten in an accident, but he was fine. He was just reassigned to the office. It turns out that he was involved in a small pileup. He stayed in his car until it was safe. It turn out to be a good decision. He witness another guy get out of his car. He was hit by another car almost immediately. Unfortunately, he did not survive. Y however, was not injured.

I did get an update with A's accident. The front axle of the car she was renting (a Dodge Dart) broke while she was driving. It caused the car to flip three times. She owns a Dodge Charger that she doesn't drive very often. I still don't understand why she doesn't drive that very often.

    She is now suing Chrysler.

She's lucky she's still alive! Thank goodness for roll cages and seat belts.

Ya, I do not blame her for suing. The axle should never "just" break.

Lawsuits are also a good reason for her not to discuss the accident.
