    What part of "security" and "closed" wasn't clear?

    At my store, if a phone call comes in outside of business hours, we answer as "Staples Security" rather than the usual bs greeting.

    At 7:30AM today, the phone rang. We open at 8AM.

    Me *gruffly*: Staples security.

    SC: Can I have the printing department please?

    Me: We're closed sir.

    SC: Well can I talk to someone in the printing department?

    Me: We're CLOSED. We don't open for another 30 minutes, and there's no one IN the printing department yet!!

    SC: Should I call back later then?

    Me: Yes.

    SC: Oh....uh....well....ok.

    Me: *click*

    I love not having to be courteous on the phone.
