Even being the major Sims addict that I am I am not sure about the whole live action movie thing. I just can't imagine what the story would be?

I would find it most amusing if the movie was in Simlish with NO subtitle option. I mean, that's how the game is it should be so in the movie. Die hard Simmers like me will understand it perfectly.

Just because of all the people who bitch and whine about foreign language/subtitled movies.

Many movie companies buy up rights to various things, but they don't often do anything with them.

Piers Anthony has sold rights to the movie version of Xanth a number of times, and each time it was for a limited period - perhaps a decade. The rights reverted back to him after a while, he kept the money, but nobody else could make a movie about Xanth during that time.

Last I heard, they were genuinely looking at producing a Xanth movie, but I'm not holding my breath. I gave up reading that series at about number fifteen or so.

If the movie were based on the way I used to play Sims, it would be a snuff film.

For some reason, Irv darling, I feel I should be surprised, or shocked, but knowing you, I just can't quite get there.

I tried to play it that way, but the little suckers were just too hardy the way I made them. I built one into a room with nothing but ovens, one fridge, and no doors, and he still never died.

I'd do things like put the toaster right next to the shower or bathtub, or have them turn on the oven, open the door and check things out for 8 hours or so.

It's been a long time since I played though.

The best way I've come up to kill someone was to stick them in a room with a chair and a fireworks, have them sit in the chair, and then leaving just enough room to get to the fireworks while filling the rest of the room with chairs.

The Sim lights the fireworks, the fireworks ignite the chairs, and the Sim becomes a gravestone.

Drowning them took too long, and once I got the magic urn, there was no point in actually playing. That's why I love Sims 2. Always something to do.

The first Sim I ever killed was by accident. I told her to go swimming and forgot all about her. The next thing I knew the Grim Reaper was showing up. Fortunately in TS2 the Sims are smart enough to get out of the pool on their own when they're about to fall asleep.

If you play TS2 get the InSimenator and run through all the "Death By..." and "Suicide By..." options.

The last time I played a Sim game... it ended up as porn. O_o I had a guy and a girl and they were supposed to be flatmates, but ended up shagging each other. Of their own accord. I think I have a bad influence on Sims. O.o

                        This summer...

Don't enter a small, windowless room in a stranger's house....

"Hey, what the? Where's the door? Hello? Hello?"

Don't go swimming in someone else's pool.

"Ah, that was refreshing. Hey, where'd the ladder go?"

                        And whatever you do...

                        "Brr, it's cold in here."

                        Don't use someone else's fireplace...

"I'm still kind of chilly. Hey, there's 10 fireplaces on that wall. Ooh, this is such a nice, thick rug in here."

                        Lindsey Lohan...

"Please, someone let me out of here! HELP ME!"

                        Matt Damon...

"Guess I'll just keep swimming. Getting kind of tired though." *Glub glub*

                        Luke Wilson...

                        "AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!"

                        Steve Buscemi....

"What the f*** am I doing in this f***ing movie?"

                        and Christoper Walken...

                        "Cause they're fast."

                        Nightmare on Sim Street.
This film is not yet rated.

Yeah, when I play the Sims, it's more like Hostel.

I think if they did a movie they would have to use the stock sims (you know the roomies the bacholar and the goths) and do it similish....

I like the sims just because i like making weird familys.

Starving and swimming did take a long time to kill. The best method I found was to seal them in a room, line the walls with fireplaces, and put a rug on the floor (make sure the room is big enough to accommodate the rug, you want your fireplaces to be only one space away on all sides). Then have the Sim walk around and light the fireplaces. Usually by the second or third one, the rug bursts into flames and your Sim screams in agony and then finally is silenced as the Grim Reaper shows up.

Frustratingly enough, you can't kill NPC's. I tried sealing up the police officer, fireman, gardener, and the pizza guy. After a few minutes they vanish and reappear outside the walls.
