I don't have high hopes for this. It was written by the guy who did Alien vs. Predator and Resident Evil, so there's already 2 strikes against it.
No word on cast yet, but I'm sure that it'll be completely wrong for the characters. I don't really know who would make a good Simon Belmont, it has to be someone who sucks at jumping and can't swim.
Can't wait to see the spectacular special effects that make candles turn into axes and crucifixes when hit by a whip.
They should also have at least one scene where he's jumping up some gears in the clock tower and gets knocked back down to the bottom by a floating medusa head.
