I remember similar things happening last year, and the year before. Entire hard-to-get consoles ended up sold and in the newspapers because of destructive etc children.

Considering it made national news, it'll probably teach the kid a lesson. At the very least, it'll get his attention...Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
