  • How many colors can you name in five minutes?

This is a lot harder than it looks. I was able to name 37 colors.

I got 35. I was trying desperately to remember my giant 64-count box of Crayolas in school.

35 as well. I thought it meant colors, not Crayola crayon colors, so I kept trying things like "champagne" and such, before I realized it meant colors of Crayola crayons. (Otherwise there'd be a whole lot more than 237 colors.)

I'm proud of myself for remembering "Electric Lime" though.

I got 30. I spent most of my time entering colors on paint tubes and having them be rejected. For instance, how is lime a color but scarlet, titian, rose, and charcoal not? If we're going by crayons, I don't recall lime being a color (maybe it is now, I think they changed the color names years ago)

        I'm an artist.

I got credited for 30, but I got 31. I just misspelled burgundy.

What colours can't you get out of an RGB mix?
A PSA, if I may, as well as another.

              White and Black

Makes me crazy that my mother thinks you can mix black

I got 32. So many of the ones I missed were colors I had never even heard of

You can mix black. Kinda. Just put in zero red, zero green, and zero blue. White? Mix equal parts of all, as much as possible.

We are talking about light here, right? Because an RGB crayon wax mix would not make a whole lot of colors. No yellow, for example.

Yeah, RGB=Red-Green-Blue. Refers to light. White is all colors, Black is none.

CMYK=Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black (K is black). Refers to ink or paint. Black is all colors, White is none.

CMYK is used in printed material, RGB is like on your computer screen or TV set.
