Horrendous NASCAR crash, driver is okay

Michael McDowell a NASCAR driver practicing for a race in Texas has a horrendous crash. If you want to watch the video click on "Watch McDowell's crash ". It's pretty nasty crash so view at your own risk. McDowell walked way from the wreck which is as incredible when you see the wreck.

Wow, that is a crash. It's quite scary when there is little to no damage to the car (like in the video). Usually they crumble apart to absorb the shock, but this one didn't.

He's lucky to walk away.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he cut a tire or had something else break which caused him to turn right into the wall.

Glad he was able to walk away from that one.

Scary, but not the worst I've seen. Here's a few other nasty ones. I'm amazed at the way the cars took off when they spun back then:

Yes, I am a NASCAR fan. Maybe a geek even. I do not apologize. My dad and I followed NASCAR before NASCAR was cool.
