Wow.
This brings to many things to light
1) Technology - people can make phone calls (deliberately or accidental) during a battle in a war in a "far away" land
2) They could actually hear what is going on halfway around the world as it was happening (if they answred the phone)
I feel sorry for the parents for having to go though with that for the few hours they couldn't reach their son but I'm doubly glad he' OK. -
It's scary having to deal with the anxiety not knowing if your loved one is okay or not because you have no way of reaching them. I'm happy that their son is doing good and that he'll be coming home real soon.
