The girl should also get in at least some trouble....she lied about her age and kept that fact hidden until after voluntarily having sex with the guy.

Although, upon seeing her in person wouldn't he have figured out that something was up? Unless he knew and wanted to do it anyway...but if that were the case he wouldn't have gone to her father upon finding out how old she actually was.

Some of the younger girls these days are looking a lot older than they are. I love how her family isn't trying to stop her from doing this stuff...

Doesn't matter. In cases of underage sex, there is NO defense. You can get her parents permission, signed and notarized with copies of her birth certificate and a note from the doctor who delivered her and whatever other forms of identification you want, but if you are 18+ and she is under 18 - guilty!

        Unless you are R Kelly......

Here is a strange one: the age of consent is USUALLY 18, but in some places it is younger. I heard (sorry, no source on this) of a situation where a young couple (I'm thinking 19 and 16 - again, no source) had sex, which was 100% legal in that state, but video taped it. The TAPE was child porn and the guy got in serious trouble for it. Now tell me THAT ain't messed up.
        Hmm...more zombies than usual...

"One of the reasons for the law is the fact that minors have poor judgment," said Jerry Dean, the girl's father.

Gotta love that quote. I just want to slap him up side the head. One reason children have parents is so that they can teach the kids not to make crappy choices, and if they do, then punish them.

I knew one woman who was... I think 29/30. She got carded for cigarrettes because she looked 14. Why? Picture a 110lb just above 5ft tall woman. When she was with her kids -- she was asked where their parents were.

Flip side... there's some 12+ year olds that have bigger chests than women in their twenties/thirties (shy of implants). Some are 5ft6-5ft10 in height. Some even wear evening-gown types of outfits and things that I think are inappropriate for that age (sometimes any age...)

Anymore you can't tell how old someone is perfectly even by development, height or anything. Voice is iffy (again, can't tell, unless they let teenagers work as telemarketers). You can't even tell because of having kids, a 16 year old could have 6 kids. If you've got a fake ID -- they could "prove" it to some, yet the adult would still be responsible and arrested for it (found that from a link from a link, etc from a New Jersey case).

It's just an all around sad thing.....

            edit:
But that father needs to be arrested/kid in protective services, something.... wanting any man who falls for his kids lies to be punished just because he won't say "no" or punish his kid... That kid needs serious help.

I blame the parents on this one. The parents are the ones that are supposed to guide the child in making good choices and using sound judgment or do it for them if the child is incapable of doing so. The girl is 13 years old her parents should've taught her better than that instead of letting her out and having sex with GROWN men. If ignorance is no excuse, then why aren't the parents and that girl being punished for the girl outright lying about her age and the parents for condoning that sort of activity?!!

If you look at the picture I wouldn't think she is 13! She was actively deceiving him.. I feel very sorry for him!

This is Fratching material, although its been very friendly so far.

I'm going to close this thread, but I'd invite anyone interested in discussing this further to start a new thread over there.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com
