The thread about the Free Credit Report guy got me thinking about another pitchman: Anyone who has a television has no doubt seen those godawful Shamwow commercials. You, where the obnoxious "Vince" all but says you're a loser unless you buy those towels (they hold 20 times their weight in liquid!)
Vince is Vince Offer, whose rather colorful history includes writing, directing, and starring in "The Underground Comedy Movie", a film based around a public access show he hosted. Read a glowing review here. Offer has also sued the Farrelly brothers (claiming "There's Something About Mary" ripped off his film. *le snort*), Anna Nicole Smith, and the Church of Scientology.
