The 72-year-old driver of the van claims he had mechanical problems. "My brakes went out," Walter Walker claims. "The light turned red, and I couldn't stop ... I tried to miss her."
But police have since revealed that the driver had had his licence suspended 20 times before and should never have been behind the wheel.
If it weren't for this 
that poor mother would be alive and well!
I can only imagine how heartbroken her poor husband is.
