  • Conned Marks should get jail time too

Nigerian Official thinks those who conned by the Nigerian scam should be arrested too

Should those who get conned by the Nigerian scams get prison sentences too? What do y'all think?

    I dunno, but I love the T-shirt.

I generally just delete the Nigerian Scam e-mails. But some of them can be pretty damned funny!

This doesn't sound very smart. Fraud is pretty much all of Nigeria's economy.

With this added incentive to not give the scamsters the time of day, the whole system will collapse.

The whole point of the scam is to cash in on people's greed... "Help! Police! I tried some money laundering but the theives wouldn't give me my share!"

I saw something about that earlier today. I can see where they are coming from. But still. People who fall for it can not help it.

The "you have a big inheritance just send us a bribery fee" ones I can understand being accused of being greedy. But the poor schlubs who "sell" an item and agree to pass on the overage on a bigger cheque are just misinformed. These people aren't out to score millions of dollars they think are coming to them, they're just trying to sell their old stuff. It's a far cry from money laundering.

The guy is nuts. Toss him in jail with the rest of the criminals from Nigeria.

According to the article only 0.1% of the population engages in these crimes ... that's 140 THOUSAND fraudsters.

Nice country he has there ...
