There is a store near here called The Free Store. Yes, everything's free. Donated. I think they also buy used paint and sell it, and that's the only income they have there.

We were very amused at this series of signs that went up in front of it:

Volunteers required!

Donations needed towards our rent!

They said we were mad to open a free store, but look at us now!!

Um yeah, seeking donations for your rent and unable to staff the place. Woo hoo. Nice plan.

this is a type of store that could only work with a strong economy.
