  • Officials probe finger-in-sandwich claim

here we go again, sounds like a wendys copy cat.

CHOWCHILLA, Calif. - Health officials are investigating a woman's claim that she found part of a human finger in a Subway sandwich — an allegation reminiscent of the chili bowl finger hoax at a Wendy's restaurant last year.

Two health inspectors visited the Subway restaurant Thursday in Chowchilla after the woman reported finding what appeared to be a half-inch piece of a finger a day earlier, said Jill Yaeger, director of the Madera County Environmental Health Department.

The worst part is that subway fired over a dozen employees to cover the loses this claim had caused.

I don't think this Subway has fired anyone yet. Nothing has been proven, not even that it was, infact, a finger in the sandwich.
I know the way Subway operates. They have more food safety controls in place than most restaurants. Not only that, any meat that is served is delivered precooked and practically prepared. The most that's done in the restaurant is pre-portioning. And with the portions they're giving out, an employee would've had to have spotted the foreign object in question.
Boy, if you're gonna scam some place to get a reward, you should at least research a little bit first.
If this person gets any charges brought against them, they can't happen too soon or be too severe. IMO, the wendy's lady caused hundreds of people to lose income, jobs and who knows what else.
The nerve of some people's kids.
