It'd probably cost more then 10K to get the tattoo removed.... and a LOT more than that to build a time machine to send kids to college when 10K would buy a degree that'd be useful.

I...don't know. It makes it worse that they quote her at $10,000, then in the next line turn around and say she got $15,000. The only thing I can think of is she *asked* for $10k, and actually received $15k?

Either way, Golden Palace has pulled enough stunts that while I know who they are, I bloody well won't ever go there.

The story said they gave her the extra $5000 when they heard it was for her son's school. That won't even pay for full day kindergarden at a private school.

From the school I want to send my kids:
Pre-Kindergarten: Half-day: $14,070
Pre-Kindergarten: Full-day: $20,685
Kindergarten and Grades 1-5: $25,525

I'm not saying I would do that -- it's INSANE -- but I just wanted to say that 15K WOULD do a lot towards a college, depending on what school kids go to. The state schools in Georgia (which are actually pretty good schools) run about $2,500 per year per student for tuition. Now that's not including room, board and books, but $10,000 could put a student through four years at one of those schools.

Out of state students pay a LOT more, but most state universities and colleges are not nearly as expensive for their instate students.
