Guiding Light, the soap opera that lasted 72 years, is canceled!

I used to watch it back in high school, and my mom watched it before that, and my grandma watched it before that (and listened to it when it was a radio show!).

I haven't seen it in years but it was nice to know I could go back to it while I'm on maternity leave.

Wait wait wait. They actually CANCEL those things? I thought they always just wrapped up 'cause the writers ran out of improbably things to do to the characters. This... this changes things... *strides from the room, muttering*

PS. For the record, I was always more of a General Hospital person, or sometimes Days of Our Lives. Summer vacation in elementary was veeeeeeeeery boring.
