IIRC, the whole city staged scenes like this one for the Street View cameras...

Wasn't there an article posted a while back about that? I don't remember, and my computer here hates the 'Search' function.

i do remember a post about the guy who was passed out drunk in front of his house & how he sued google for posting his picture though.

i'd like to see where people staged it though... i wasn't aware that the google-van/car had ever posted where & when it would be out

Whoah, I've seen Sampsonia Way before and figured it was staged, but that's just so cool! Google in on it and all.

I'm waiting for the local version to hit the web. The car went by me one day on my way home from a run. I'm gonna be walking down the street, all sweaty and disgusting, on the local version of street view! LOL

I had seen that image before, but I did not realize it was staged as part of an art project.

That's still pretty cool, and Google seemed quite okay with it as well.

That is funny. I'd love to know where the next Google camera car is going...

I heard a little while ago that Google had to edit a picture of a guy leaving a porn shop after he complained. There was also a story a few months back (when it first came out) about images of a guy taking a leak in public...

EDIT: just imagine what the camera would capture if it went through New Orleans during Mardi Gras...
