Um .... why's that funny? I mean, if there some implication this shopper had been a SC, sure. But there isn't. Is it just "you have a nice car, I will bash your car"? Why would anyone think that's funny?

Yes, btw, I have a nice car. Ironically, it's a cheap car, but it looks swish as all get-out. Someone I knew with one of these had it keyed one day by someone with this exact approach (presumably). They hadn't parked badly or interacted with anyone negatively, they just came out of the store to find their car had been keyed all down the side. Presumably for nothing more than " you have nice car ... me jealous ... me make your car not so nice ".

So yeah, I might be a little touchy here. But aside from not condoning any violence on CS anyway, why would you be specifically saying it's funny to smash someone's nice thing just because they have a nice thing and you don't?

I guess its like when people find it funny when others fall down? Is it nice to laugh when people fall over and hurt themselves on funnyest home video.... no its not. Is it funny... yes funny as hell!

It's the car and the license plate combo. It just screams "I'm a rich, arrogant asshole and I'm better than you."

The character is basically saying back "No, no you're not."
