The study cited in the article apparently found that showing some anger in a negotiation can help you get you what you want more effectively that being smooth about it.

The only time that happens if if they so happen to have run into the linguine for brains type of managers. Other than that, no way. I go by the old saying "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar" and that tends to work most of the time. So whoever did that study can cram it.

I like to think that this would mean that the managers - after a barrage of bollocks from SCs fueled by this article and similar - are going to be more receptive of someone acting ... reasonably.

Maybe I'm just an optimist.
