  • blehch.... found an online map of sex offenders

    http://www.familywatchdog.us/

basically, put in your address and it shows you who the registered offenders are in your area, and what kind of crimes they're guilty of.

    shudder.
there's no one on my street, but some in the area tho. and downtown here is covered in red marks (red = against children )

Looks like I have three offenders on my route. Two sexual and one against a child. The bad thing...the one against the child is less then a half mile from a elementary school and less then a half mile from an alternative high school.

As for near my house...yea...I wanna move.

Holy crap! Apparently one of the people in my town (who threatened me when I was running for office for no reason) is actually on that list! And another person who was drunk and going on about religion and stuff (taking up almost 45 minutes of my time) is a child pornographer!

Not many here, as I expected. There's a smattering scattered pretty evenly across town. I would imagine it would be easier for offenders to blend into a bigger city than here.

Hmmmmm, Well I wonder if they aren't mapping all of them or if one moved out of the area. She's not listed for my area but one of my new neighbors is.

Holy shit! I actually have an offender in MY neighborhood! Worse since I'm in an unincorporated city there's a fistful of them scattered around the place. Urge to move rising.....

Let's keep this on the route it currently is please. If it starts moving towards fratching type material, I'll have to break out Mr Unhappy Stick.

yeah, i'm not sure if the site updates when people move, so it could be generating more dots than what's currently around.

what kinda freaks me out a little is that some locations seem to have multiple registered people. One red square location where I lived had over 10 names.... kinda makes me wonder if the property is cursed or something. O_o *shudder*

I put my address in and my area is full of them. That's because it's too general. I see that most are on there because they were around 20 and had a relationship with a girl that was just a little under the age of consent. The only thing I have a problem with this registry is that, the way the system is set up today, literally ANY law that you break that has ANYTHING to do with private parts will get you put on the registry. A kid streaked naked at his high school football game as a prank. Bingo! He's on the list now next to someone that molested a dozen kids and serial rapists.

I mapped my neighborhood, and it was like a giant mess of multi colored dots.

There's a lot of families that live in this area full of apartments. Lots of single young college aged gals like myself, too.

What a great place to put them.

Two posts after a mod warning, and we're in Fratching territory.

                      Congratulations. The thread is closed.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com
