  • Abercrombie and Fitch and the employee

I did a quick search and didn't see anything on this, so..

An Abercrombie and Fitch employee was banished to the storeroom for not upholding the "look" policy.

I have always hated that store and she is a very beautiful girl who had everyright to wear her cardigan and work on the sales floor, screw A&F with their "Visual Team".

Well there is another reason to never shop there. I have always disliked how they perpetuate the whole you have to be skinny or chisled to be good looking and worthwhile.

I had to look a couple of times to realise what it was all about, A&F can go blow a goat.

It would appear so, additionally acting like that towards a law student who's just sat her finals takes it to a whole new level of stupid...

I hope she wins her case. A & F's attitude is completely and utterly wrong.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Their boring preppy style is not the only reason I refuse to shop there. I hope she wins her case, what Abercrappie and Bitch did was just wrong!

The last link on the list has some of the statements she will be making in court next week.

                      Quoth From the first link
A spokesman for Abercrombie & Fitch said: 'A&F has a strong anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policy and is committed to providing a supportive and dignified environment for all of its employees.'
But only from a certain point of view. How "work in the stockroom until the winter uniforms come in" is supportive, I dunno. Unless they were thinking something along the lines of "Hey, let's make the one-armed girl move boxes and clothing around all day. That'll help her cope with any awkwardness!" Gah, I feel dirty just typing that line.

                        Thread Revival!

It would appear that the young lady has won against them, and is now £8k better off!

                          YAY for her! I'm glad.

However I'm confused. How could she not have suffered from disability discrimination when it was her disability that caused them to put her in the stockroom anyway?

maybe it's because they let her do some work? not sure.

glad she won tho, i was telling my sister about this a few days ago.
