  • another one bites the dust? (Walter Cronkite has died )

This time its News Anchor WAlter Cronkite (1917 - 2009).

"He was the face of the "CBS Evening News" from 1962 to 1981, when stories ranged from the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. to racial and anti-war riots, Watergate and the Iranian hostage crisis."
It is by snark alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of the coffee bean that thoughts acquire 'tude, the lips acquire mouthiness, the glares become a warning.

    Walter Cronkite has died

The greatest news anchor of all time. I can remember him signing off and leaving the anchor desk in 1980 to be replaced by Dan Rather and myself thinking "I like you! Don't go!!"
    Testing
"I saw a flock of moosen! There were many of 'em. Many much moosen. Out in the woods- in the woodes- in the woodsen. The meese want the food. The food is to eatenesen."

Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

He was an icon, IMO the biggest celeb this year to pass away.

Actually, I don't think even "icon" does him any justice.
