    RIP Mary Travers

    RIP Mary Travers.. for many of you who might not be familar.. she was Mary of Peter, Paul and Mary.


    Very beautiful voice.. she knew last month that they would never sing together due to her voice declining.

        Mary Travers has passed away

        Probably better known as Mary from the musical group, Peter Paul and Mary.

              just to clarify, She only sang the Chorus of Puff the Magic Dragon.


              On a side note, until the late 1970's or early 80's, Mary didn't know all the words to Puff the Magic Dragon. She only knew the chorus.

              She was preforming solo at The Wild Animal Park in San Diego at their open air concert series. There was a young boy who wanted to know if she could sing Puff for him. She honestly told him that she only knew the chorus. He had the sheet music for the whole song with him as he had wanted to ask her to autograph it after the show if he could. She brought him up on stage with her and sang the song with him. Yes, she did augograph his sheet music as well.
