Yep, and unlike some stories, moving it in cash makes sense here, after all, how would you make withdrawals in Thailand? If you're not in a major city (the major city?) where would you find an ATM? It is after all hard to get to your money unless you've a Visa branded card and access to an ATM when you travel, its just a fact of life. I do wonder where she got the money from though.
