    I think Walmart went through something like that a year or so ago. I wonder if the government went after them as aggressively.

      I worked at IBM when they had their own lawsuit go through. Not "for", just AT IBM. I was a contractor so wasn't part of it.

      Basically, IBM classified a lot of employees as salaried, and didn't pay them overtime because of it, but many of them didn't make enough for them to get away with not paying overtime.

      It was very shortly after that, that the company started cutting contractor pay by 5% per year over the next 3 years, presumably to make up for the losses in court.
