They did something with this after the avenue Q show in Adelaide, except with Rod and "Ricky". Was quite cute.

Personally, if I wanted to tackle the subject of gay marriage on Sesame Street, I'd introduce two new characters to do it. But that's just me.

We had a celebrant perform a ceremony for them after the performance I saw of Avenue Q. The puppeteer for Rod had this letter to read beforehand and completely lost his characters voice during it...
