That one is much smaller than ONR's first railgun. I believe that in a couple of months they will receive the second commercially built prototype. I forgot who was building it. It should be interesting.

In AP physics, a couple groups built railguns for their final projects (I built a rocket). They were much, MUCH smaller, though, and didn't really work that well.

....the Navy's are way cooler.
