It is funny. American football players have reportedly been wearing ladies tights (aka pantyhose) for the past five decades.

It is funny. American football players have reportedly been wearing ladies tights (aka pantyhose) for the past five decades.

Except that in Australia (and I THINK the UK), tights and pantyhose are generally considered to be two different things. Tights are usually a thicker denier than pantyhose, normally navy, black, footless or similar and can be made out of wool/cotton if needed. Pantyhose on the other hand is generally skin-coloured or can be black, can be a thinner denier and runs the risk of laddering.

And also if you happened to be a woman in WWII, you could make stockings out of gravy and eyeliner.
