There has been a real problem lately with duplicate threads related to all those recent celebrity deaths.
This has meant a lot of headaches and extra work with responding to reported posts, merging and moving, etc.
To be fair, some have been in Off Topic, while others have been in Check it Out.
(Some have been posted in OT when they should have been posted in CIO.)
Some threads, you can't tell by the title, and in some cases, the thread has been a little cryptic with only a link provided.
Please, if you have a "hot topic" current event, such as a celebrity death, just do a quick search before starting a new thread.
Also, please provide details if you are going to be posting a link, and, if you post a link to a news story, it belongs in Check it Out!
