warning - contains images of burn victims and open wounds

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y5H9...eature=related

I don't know why the video is flipped horizontally but ... anyway this looked cool. It's some kind of apparatus that takes healthy skin cells from the patient, prepared in a solution, and sprays it on the wound.

the vid's over a year old already. but according to this, the healing process is much faster - the burn victim they featured said his skin was healed after 4 days.

I had not seen that one. They have been talking about "organ printers" for a couple of years now and how that would change burn treatment. It would allow them to create those skin sheets faster. It would make sense to skip the application to the transfer paper and spay directly on the wound. Amazing!

It's a common trick uploaders use to evade YT's copyright bot.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.

Do you mean the bot that got NASA's channel blocked for showing pirate content - when a news service that subscribes to the bot's "protect our content" included a clip from NASA (as a government agency, they release their content into the public domain) footage taken by the Mars rover, and when the bot saw that NASA was showing the same footage, it acted as it was programmed to do and shut down the "pirate" copy? You can read more about the issue here.

After seeing the video.... I can't see why this would still be "experimental". Traditional burn treatment doesn't seem to even come close.

Well it's still being tested for short and long term effects and it's never been done before. so it's not commonly used and therefore in the experimental stage.

I saw that in this Cracked article: http://www.cracked.com/article_19476...-lifetime.html

I think it's brilliant, and I hope it's in widespread usage very soon.
