Miss Idaho 2009 suffered a brain injury last june when she slipped and fell 12 feet onto a boulder.

When her brain started swelling part of her skull was removed to avoid further trauma. It was stored in her stomach for 42 days to keep it sterile.

Since then it's been reattached and she's already back at work to pay off the medical bill.

first of all thank you for the warning ....much better going in prepared. Secondly...I never heard of such a thing! I'm amazed they could do that. Wasn't it difficult to protect her head while her skull wasn't there?
