A very dear friend tonight received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his face, hands and arms in a flash gasoline fire. He has been transported to the OSU burn center for treatment.

His step son posted this morning that they had been clearing some brush. Ray had put some gasoline on the brush and when he went to light the brush, a ball of flames came back into his face, burning his face, hands and arms. They are planning on letting him come home as soon as they get the pain under control. His spouse is a hospice nurse and will be able to provide the in home care that he will need while going through the skin grafts.

Praying that he heals quickly with as little pain as possible. I know burns like this are nasty. Good to have a spouse that's a nurse, though. Good thoughts to them both.
