    Realistic goals:
    • New, better-paying job
    • New glasses
    • Lose weight
    • Take a vacation

    Dream goals:
    • Take a trip to England and Ireland
    • Buy a house
    • New car
    • LASIK
    • Weeklong visit to a luxury spa

Of course, I also want to see world peace, an end to poverty, injustice and disease, stuff everyone wants. I'm just listing stuff I want for myself.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

realistic: get my older daughter out here with me near the younger and the grands.

yeah right: win the lottery (with no ill effects to myself, family, friends, or descendents) <yeah I'm an old school RPGer- obvious right?)

              2 goals, 1 dream.

Goal: stop sitting on my ass so much, ignoring my kickass bicycle, and start riding more, including doing more organized rides like the Smart Ride from Miami to Key West to benefit AIDS research that I say I'm gonna do every year and still haven't done.

Goal: save money towards my move back to Arizona.

Dream: finally find that special someone and have actual dates and romantic times with them. I'm a romantic. And damn it, I deserve it.

Beyond that, the usual: try more stuff in the kitchen, taste more beer, rum, and wine, meet new people, have fun, root on my sports teams, root against my sports teams' rivals, try new things, jump out of more airplanes, road trips, laugh a lot, make other people laugh a lot (sometimes even with my clothes on), read more, go to movies, help my friends when they need my help, counsel and help people wherever I can, avoid cold weather, advise the President, defuse nuclear warheads, assassinate Martha Stewart, identify the Zodiac Killer, find Jimmy Hoffa's body, overthrow a dictator, smoke a Cuban cigar, and make beer cheese soup.

                realistic (?): a decent job

semi-realistic: i want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. i wouldn't mind putting together another ol' jalopy hot rod, either.

pipe dreams: kicking my old boss's ass around the room for a half-hour or so. oh yeah, and that lottery thing.

ummmm...get rid of my haters? LOL

Ummm....either move into the receiving clerk position after the current one retires, or find a different job if that falls through.

Totally realistic. I've done it twice, and think you should totally go for it.

I plan to finish three stories/novellas that have been languishing. I also want to sell my most recent novel (which isn't entirely up to me, but I'll do my best!) and begin the sequel to it.

We are also budgeting better to save more money (we were OK before but we are really cracking down).

I am going to take a typing course to teach me how to really type, because the way I do it is kind of screwed up.

Um, I think that's it. I have modest dreams.

Realistic goals: do some form of exercise most days of the week, eat more healthy stuff, go to bed earlier, drink more water, clean up and organize my house.

Maybe realistic: well, there's this guy...

                        Dreams: um, I dunno...

                            Yeah, I can do that:
                            • Exercise more. And use that bicycle that's been collecting dust for more years than I care to remember.
                            • Eat better -- eat out MUCH LESS
                            • Get that telecommuting editing job
                            • Handle money better

                            The DREEEEMS:
                            • Travel to England again
                            • Travel to Eastern Europe again
                            • Take a train trip across Canada

I've already had this conversation with a friend; we're going to work on keeping each other on track.

                              Realistic:
                              Lose a hundred pounds.
Get my online shop set up and launched.
                              Get my right knee replaced.
                              Get published.
(Yes, these are realistic goals if I can beat my own procrastination.)

Unrealistic (at least for this year):
Help Jester with that Martha Stewart thing.
Spend a month in the Greek Islands.
                              Date Johnny Depp.
