  • My scofflaw past catches up with me

FINALLY got my taxes done for 2019 and 2020. I was told I owed $10 for 2019 and would get $1,300+ back for 2020.

Turned out there was just one small problem ... I still owed $1,000+ from 2018. So my actual tax refund was just under $300. Yes, I could've been paying that off over the past two years but I'd completely forgotten about it.

Not exactly what I wanted in terms of a refund but definitely better than being told I owed another $1,000 ...

Expensive, but it could've been worse.

Actually less than that depending on the interest and penalties that Canadian Revenue charges for not filing and abandoning a payment plan.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!
