Oh look, plants!

How shocking! Though these don't look that much like plants. They're lithops, or stone plants, split rock plants, etc. They come from the deserts of southern Africa.



Sadly the well-meaning friend who packed them didn't realize that the package wasn't going to stay "this side up" as marked and so they were dumped out of their pots and rattled around a bit. Only lost one on the trip though, thankfully.

Edit: I got an orchid too, might as well not make too many posts at once.

The stone plants are cool looking. I really like the coloring of the bottom left one- it looks a bit like a snowflake. Are they carnivorous as well?
