The first movie I can identify seeing was Support Your Local Sheriff in a drive in with my folks. I was very small and not really watching it. Kind of playing in the backseat and watching every now and then. I must've been around five, I guess.

I remember seeing another movie in the Mayfair in New Jersey (I lived in NJ until I was almost 6), but I don't know what movie it was. I must've been something like 2 or 3. That's my first memory of being in a movie theater.

If the drive in counts, the first movies I can remember seeing were "Journey to the center of the Earth" and The Dark Crystal.

Inspired by the "When I Was Your Age..." thread - What's the first movie you can remember seeing in the theatre?
My thread inspired a thread? Cool!

The first movie in a theater I remember was Pinnochio. It was the only time my dad ever took me to see a movie.

My first drive-in experience (that I remember) was the origional Jaws, when I was four. Yeah, my babysitter thought her kids and I were all asleep in the back seat. But I was awake for all the terror. Still afraid of deep water.

First movie I REMEMBER seeing was Star Wars. I was almost 5 when that movie hit theaters and forever changed cinema as we know it!

I probably saw some other movies before that, but I'll be damned if I can tell you what they were!

The first movie I remember seeing was "Aladdin." It was a school reward field trip and the theater opened just for our grade. I think I was in grade two. I remember sitting in the big, squishy chair and waiting for the teachers to pass out popcorn and soda.

My parents said I saw the Little Mermaid before that and one or two movies before even that, but I don't remember.

The original Journey to the Center of the Earth when I was about 8. It was pretty scary - the stone step that turned out to be a giant lizard, and that they ate Gertrud the sweet little white duck gave me shivers for a few weeks.

Wasn't really my first movie, but it's the first one I remember clearly.

For me it was a double feature! Dumbo and Pinocchio. I have no idea how old I was.

I think the first movie I went to see was either Fantasia (NOT the remake), or Sleeping beauty.

The first I can remember was Blade Runner, I would've been about 6 and I spent the entire time hiding on the floor-still never seen it again in almost 30 years. (my parents thought I wouldn't understand it so it'd be fine to just take me along instead of getting a babysitter)
Luckily mum made it up to me by getting a job at the local cinema so my school holidays were spent seeing things like Ewok Adventure 5 times a day.
