  • I just need to say...

    I look closer to my avatar now than I ever have before.

    That I got back from a sunny weekend family reunion/fun times at the lake, and I burnt the hell out of my face. It's very red.
    I pray for the strength to change what I can, the inability to change what I can't, and the incapacity to tell the difference -Calvin, Calvin & Hobbes

    Being a pessimist and cynical wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't right so often!

    And you're not going to post pics so we can all point and laugh commiserate?
    (I'm mostly German/Irish, and my Sicilian blood does not translate to my skin tone...I've had a few burns in my life, too.)

        spiffy, until your forehead looks a bit like this

        then you can't truly say that you have a bad sunburn :P

          Brew very strong tea, cool and dab on with a soft washcloth or paper towel.
          Noxema - coat it on, let it sit for a while before rinsing off.
          Shaving cream is supposed to help too, although it didn't help me.
          Witch hazel.

          And of course, Aloe - with lidocane.

            Carnation oil is the best for sunburn because it doesnt lock in the heat like other oils do, and it moisturizes so peeling is minimal.
