So...went to midwife for a routine appointment Friday morning at 8 am. Blood pressure had spiked, so she sent me to the hospital for tests. They admitted me at noon on Friday for induction, the only way to cure dangerously high pregnancy blood pressure being delivery of the baby. They induced me at 5 am Saturday morning. At 7 pm Saturday, they determined that baby had changed position and would not be coming out the natural way, so I got to experience all 3 stages of labor AND an emergency c-section. AWESOME! Stayed in hospital until today, Tuesday, and just came home. Thank God. So I left for a 30-minute appointment and was gone for 5 days.
I guess he was worth it. We decided to go ahead and keep him. Even gave him a name and everything: Conrad Rainier Khouri.
And to Dan the epidural guy, you are without a doubt the most beloved man in the Labor and Delivery Unit, for good reason.
