Word of warning about the genovese basil ... you have to keep after it or it will try to rule the world! It can literally grow 6 inches in a week. I am glad I only had planted ONE plant, we can only eat so much basil in a week!
Did you get chives as well? If so it may prove disappointing, the first chive pod I planted only sprouted and grew one lonely chive plant, so I figured that I would just yoink it out and replant with the second chive pod that came with a different kit, and so far it only has one lonely chive as well - in the piccys it looks like a full 8 or 10 plants have sprouted and are growing, but so far I am batting .0 on chives.
