A bit depressing...

I had heard that a friend's mother had passed, so I went to the websites for the local funeral homes. Holy crap! Talk about depressing...out of all the notices posted in the past 4 days, I knew all of them!

Between the 2 sites, I discovered obituary notices for my friend's mother, the husband of a former coworker, a former high school friend, the man we bought our house from, and one of our customers.

Sure makes you feel your mortality, sometimes.

I know exactly what you mean. I remarked to my husband last night that we SCAdians seem to be dying off at a disturbing rate lately, got online, and found out a lady I knew died in her sleep the night before last.
