I saw my first musical play!

Last night, the college theatre put on a performance of Cabaret. I have seen musicals in movie form, but never in a play form.

Let me tell you, I enjoyed myself! The perverted humor was right up my alley! All of the lights! The dancing! It was spectacular! The singing was pretty good, except when some of them squeaked or deviated from the German accents they were supposed to have at some points.

At the end though, I was depressed. The actor who played the Emcee had better legs than I did and he didn't even have heels on! I mean, these were very shapely legs that looked good in the stockings!

Cabaret is great, I love the music! I wanted to see the revival a couple years back but it never came around here.

Accents are always problematic, especially with undergrads just learning accent work and IPA. And, it's been a while since I've read it, but isn't Cabaret supposed to be depressing at the end? :P

Ah, Cabaret....wish I could have seen it.

Accents suck especially for an American trying to learn any European accent.
