  • well...my mom has cancer

pancreatic, apparently. spread to her lungs. which is weird because she was all scoped or whatever in january and her pancreas was fine. she went in for a cough last week and the doc said there was something weird in her lungs so they took a biopsy. just found out today. she starts chemo on friday. if she responds well, she'll have around 2 years. if not, then 6-8 months.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I know how devistating that kind of news can be and really the only thing that you can do is make sure that you make the most of every chance you get to see her.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Green Fairy. My dad had kidney cancer that spread to his lungs and he beat it, at least for the moment, he is completely cancer free. I will send good vibes your way and hope your mom can beat her's too!

I'll second what Dragger said - spend as much time as you can with her.

I know your pain - I lost my mom to Cancer 12 years ago, and I miss her just about every day.

Sorry to hear that as well. I hope she responds well to chemo and that it doesn't spread anywhere else.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Sending healing thoughts your way as well. We lost my Dad 1 1/2 years ago after a fight with esophageal cancer. It's horrible to go through, but just enjoy every day you have with her.
