My cat, Fiona, died this morning. Mom let her outside when she got up around six. Fiona used to go outside all the time when we lived in the country, but has been an inside cat since we moved into town. Mom said Fiona kept insisting on wanting to go out. I took the dogs outside and found Fiona curled up beside the tree in the backyard. She was nine. Mom said she thought Fiona had a stroke.

... Ouch.
I'm sorry. I couldn't deal with that.
Look on the minor bright side. She wanted to go out so bad, because she likely knew what was going to happen, and wanted to go in peace in her favorite area, outside.
She'll always run free in the Dark Forest. (Animal Heaven).
While nothing can stop that pain, it can at least be lessen with time. We've had several posters here who's beloved best furry friends have died, and they can tell you that it will lessen in time.
Try to remember the good times. Know that you gave that animal an incredible life that it might not have had otherwise, and she'll always thank you for it. I'm a firm beliver that animals are more sentinent then people think they are, and I'm willing to bet she loved you and loved her life.
I'm here if you wanna PM. I'll even give you my number if you want.Military Spouse Support.
